It’s still quite beautiful. I just called about camping rates: $16 per night per site, or $30 for the group site, which can handle 8 tents.
For the record, tent camping in summer will be hot and buggy!

hi, I will be visiting this area next month. I used to live within a 10 minute walking distance of there, but havent been back in over 2 years. This was definitly one of my favorite places to visit. Do you happen to know how much tent camping per night is? Thank you.

I found another old fashioned free-standing Stuckeys recently at the I-95 exit for US 1, Bunnell. It wasn’t as neat and cheery as the one in Bagdad, but it does exist. I’ve missed it for years since I usually take back roads through the area.

We were also on our way home to Louisiana from Daytona and needed a Chevron for gas. Stuckey’s in Bagdad, FL is one of the most exciting and amazing stops on our trip. We could not stop looking at all the goodies! My daughter bought her Wizard of Oz lunch box! We will definately stop by every time we come through there! Thank you so much for keeping the memories alive!

You’re thinking of Wakulla Springs. It’s been more than 30 years since boat tours ran at Rainbow Springs.

If that’s the place I’m thinking of, Matt & I went there back on the trip we met up with you! I LOVED it!! I am not quite sure I’m thinking of the same place though… I am thinking of something else called Wakulla Springs but not sure the name of the cool place where we went that had a massive clear-aquamarine spring with boat rides where it was like Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You saw all sorts of birds up close, gators, fish, and other things in the clear water. I want to bring my kids there. Is that Rainbow Springs or Wakulla Springs or something else altogether? There was a white old house that was now a lodge too.
